Popcorn for all Dexter's fans!

Popcorn's great - everywhere, everytime! It's my second favourite snack, I love it salty, or sweet, or with a hint of butter... mmm! But this is the way I've tried first on this year's Halloween. And we loved it!
Don't you think it looks really creepy? ;)) (recipe from my fav culinary blog)

Please, make yourself ready for a... bloody popcorn!

How to get through a viral storm!

Sophie's sick. And even more unwell is my husband. Actually I've started to feel sick as well, but as it usually happens for us, women, I made the viruses realise I'm not an easy target. They got my DO NOT ENTER message clearly. Too bad I can't scare them away from Sophie... :(

So my little girl's crying, I'm unable to keep a smile on her face for longer than just a moment... We know already how to get by with reflux and lactose intolerance, but with the running nose, clogged ears and sore throat it all has become a real battlefield... When my hubby gets back from work he puts on a mask and curls under the blanket, therefore I need to release my superpowers and carry, hold and cheer up Sophie, while making hot meals, chai, milk with turmeric and keeping my husband warm at the same time... Simply said - those viruses are getting on my nerves.

For all young mothers and wives, such a time is a real survival lesson. Suddenly the priorities change, you need to be strong like Hercules, stay incredibly patient to our sick and truly annoying loved ones ;) It is really difficult, especially towards a husband, whose help we need and seek (c'mon, we've just became parents, it's not easy at all!), and we do have loads of expectations... Now we need to get by without any his help, and moreover - we need to take care of hubby as well.

Damn, how to get though this without going nuts? :)

Zombie muffins - muffins (not only) for a Halloween party

Halloween is already behind us, but zombie muffins, with their rotten-green and a bit leaky looks, are great for any other occassion. And without one as well ;) Despite their looks, they are really yumme~! ;)

There are sooooo many awesome recipes around the net for scary, slimey, leaky or disgustingly delicious desserts for Halloween parties. But most of them are not suitable for allergy sufferers and breastfeeding mothers who avoid allergenic products (and don't have much time to get crazy in the kitchen ;)).
That's where zombie muffins step in! They're ready in a blink of an eye, and they do the job when you need to scare your Halloween party guests, and still enjoy the taste ;)

Matcha! Wonderful, magic powder from the land of the cherry blossom, anime, Honda, sushi and Murakami... ;)) Simply: something worth having in our kitchen at all times, even if we do not plan to hold the tea ceremony in our house. I just love it! It gives the beautiful colour and flavor to all desserts. In my kitchen it's irreplaceable :)
